WEEKEND WATCHLIST with a bit of advice:

Todays great quote by Archilochus was hand picked to pair well with the next little bit of advice:

Eat your veggies before moving on to dessert.

“Weekend Watchlist” and “Quick Surfing Trips” and the “News & Links” section have all been very popular, and I’d like to think helpful as well. But don’t let them turn into a form of procrastination.

Building the habit of daily drawing, though not easy, is definitely worthwhile. To have the confidence, with pencil in hand, to visually express the world before you whether with precision or with creativity or your unique blend of both - takes time. Takes practice. After awhile that practice is second nature, but especially in the beginning, it can be like eating vegetables. You know it’s good for you but not always easy.

With that in mind, I strongly recommend you work on your daily drawing routine before clicking on any of the included links. If you only have 20 or 30 minutes for your drawing routine, treat that time as precious. Over time that’s where true growth happens…
