YOUTUBE SHORT - How to sketch ears in one stroke. This is a great practice technique for eyes and noses and whole heads. It forces you mentally track and measure the relationship between difference areas of the face.
TRAILER - 4 min teaser of Scott Burdick painting a Maasai girl. Scott paints from life using big juicy impasto painting strokes. He’s able to do this because of the many years honing his drawing skills.
LOOMIS - Another Loomis method demo. I’m a big fan of plain and simple observational drawing. But I do recommend the Loomis method for two types: if your just beginning and struggling, maybe you feel you need some kind of structure or system to get you started. If so Loomis is great. The other type is if you draw from imagination, but if that’s you I’m sure you’re already using Loomis:)
